Amigos nuevos

Cycling around Turia gardens today, I had a sudden realisation of being happy and content with where I am right now. The sun was shining, I was cycling around beautiful gardens with Lucy and we were having a laugh and chat about anything and everything. We cycled to look at the ‘Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias’ and wanted to get a photo together in front of the Hemisferic so we asked a lady and man taking photos nearby. They were more than happy to help and we ended up getting into a conversation about where we lived and what we were all doing in Valencia. We ended up exchanging emails and blog addresses so that they could see our documentation whilst in Valencia. They even offered for us to contact them if ever we needed any connections in the U.S which is where they were currently living. It was one of those moments where I am reminded of how kind and helpful people can be and it made our day to have this unexpected encounter.
